Charles M. Kelso, Jr, son of Sarah McNeill Kelso and Dr. Charles M. Kelso Sr. passed way unexpectedly on June 18, 2004. He is survived by his two children Kirsten G. Kelso, of Hunt TX and (Trey) Charles M. Kelso, III of Glen Burnie, MD and by his sister Kathleen Kelso Bromley of Libertyville, IL, his great aunt Mary E. McNeill, cousins: Jud McNeill, Ginny Raska, and Barbara Sullivan.

He was born on August 2, 1945 in West Columbia, TX. He graduated magna cum laude from Victoria High School, 1962, Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Texas, 1966, and received his M.A. in economics from Harvard University, in 1968.

Charles Kelso was an Eagle Scout, member of the Alpha Mu chapter of the Lambda Chi Alpha social fraternity, a Mason; past Grand Master of the Harvard Lodge, and a member of the International Rotary club.

He taught both at the Harvard Business School and at University of California, Berkley before spending his career in corporate finance and investment management with companies such as: Mellon Bank, American General Insurance, Comerica, Northwest Airlines, Metera, Inc.

Memorial services were conducted on June 27, 2004 in Sunnyvale, CA at the Sunnyvale Presbyterian Church. Graveside services will be held in Brazoria, TX at the Brazoria Cemetery on June 30, 2004.

Charles married Peggy Lynn Dry, daughter of Julius Dry and Virginia Carroll, on 29 Jan 1966. The marriage ended in divorce. (Peggy Lynn Dry was born 30Oct 1944 in Dallas, TX.)

Charles next married Kathy Doerr Jopling in 1994 in Golden Valley, Minnesota. The marriage ended in divorce.
